Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This small fish restaurant was located near our hotel. Before trying it, we went online to read some of the reviews. They were mixed—some were excellent, while others were quite negative. Nevertheless, we decided to give it a try and make our own judgment. And what an experience it was! As we say here in Italy, “da leccarsi i baffi”—it was finger-licking good. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere brilliant, the service great, and the owner absolutely magnificent: so kind and funny. We even went back for dinner the next day :) Thank you for a wonderful experience! Flavio & Grace"
"I got a walk in reservation around 6pm for later that night at 8pm on a Saturday in June. The restaurant was almost fully reserved by couples, families and groups. Grilled seafood was fantastic and the service excellent. Highly recommend to call ahead to make a reservation; they have one or two staff that speak English."
"Amazing food. Location might not be the best in town since, despite being very close to the beach, you dont really have a view to the sea. Still it has a nice, laid back, smart atmosphere. Anyway, the brightest star in the night here is the food. Sensational from start to finish. Grilata mista spectacular. Tuna steak one of the best ive had. Stuffed pasta, pasta al ragu di polpo rosso, etc etc. Everything was simply delicious. Melanzane side is a must. Short concise wine list with multiple price range options. Desserts were also incredible, try the sorbette with vodka and the tiramisu; incredibly delicate. Price range around 30 eu pp. with plenty of food, wine, dessert, coffe. Overall great value I would say. Service was pretty attemptive for how crowded it was, and very friendly. All in all, a must in Marina di Campo. Reservations advised."
"Probably the best restaurant I ate at while on Elba. Food was delicious and prices were appropriate for what you got."
"The food was above average compared to the other places we've been (great spaghetti alle vongole bit pricy for 16 €, good pasta with swordfish, mixed grilled fish platter abundant and nice, grilled frozen shrimps nothing special) and the service is nice but not too careful (they came to ask for our orders before bringing us the menus, but apologized for it)."
"Damn good food, sub-par location. Even though you sit into the pineta, very close to the see, you can't actually see it, and you are instead facing a wall. That's a sin, as the food and the service are very good, and the price is also high (but worth it). There're better locations around, and food is also overall very good on the island."
"We had mussels and seafood pasta and both were excellent. What a difference compared to seaside restaurants. When we came (no reservation) restaurant was full, they tool pur name and we could wait in the bar drinking wine. They called in waiting guests according to the waiting list, no stress at all.. Very busy but professional and friendly personnel. It was a really nice evening."
"We enjoyed exceptional service and the quality of the food. Locals eat here; not a trap for tourists. Probably the best food experience during this stay in Elba."
